This chapter is mostly going after the books so if you read them this will make more sense, if you have read them then good for you. So let's start when he first gets out of Hogwarts he goes to work at Borgen and Burks where he worked till he got his hands on the goblet of Helga Hufflepuff. But before we went to work there he went back to Hogwarts to teach and for another founder's object (more about this in Horcruxes) but Dumbledore knew of is dark deeds and sent him on his way with a no. After he got the goblet he went into exile for many years coming back as the Dark Lord. (more about this in the next chapter)
