The second she pressed "read now" a lock down bell rings throughout the school, and the principal's voice rings through the loudspeaker "Attention students, this is an actual lock down. We have had something break through the school. We don't know what, but go to your designated lock down spots. She doesn't know why, but deep down inside, Melody knew this was somehow her fault.
