Rose just moved to Herried, South Dakota. Kristy lives there. They started off in different classes. Rose was getting bullied all the time in her class so she got moved to the class Kristy was in. Roses desk was right next Kristys so after class one day Kristy started talking to Rose and then Kristy asked Rose if she wanted to go to a county fair with her and Rose said yes.
