Chapter 4
Note: this lesson was mostly introduction and extra credit, so there wasn't a lot of work.
This is everything you need to know to pass the mandatory quiz.
*Transfiguration is about changing the looks and molecular structure of an object.
*Transfiguration has strict incantations and wand movement.
*There are four branches of Transfiguration. ( Transformation, Vanishment, Conjuration, and transfiguration )
THE TRANSFORMATION FORMULA:
t= w*c * z
v*a
Keep in mind it looks a bit different than this, but it was the only way I could get it on the page.
Let me explain it.
t= intended transfiguration difficulty
w= wand power
c= concentration
v= viciousness
a= mass of the beginning object
z= unknown variable
This is not something we will be focusing on this year. If you want to know more, read the full lesson or do research.
DANGERS OF TRANSFIGURATION:
Transfiguration can be very dangerous. For example, if you tried to give yourself gills, the spell could only work halfway and you wouldn't be able to breathe.
EXTRA CREDIT:
Please write an essay touching on what you would like to learn about in Transfiguration and what you're most and least excited about. Also write a little bit about yourself and anything else you think Professor Mitchell should know.
NOTE: While I have all of the necessary information here, I strongly suggest reading through the whole lesson/instructions.
