Dear Diary ,

Today I arrived at Hogwarts on the Train from Platform 9 3/4. Its strange how 'muggles' don't notice us wizards passing through. Anyway , Mother and Father have given me you to keep me company in the mean time. You see I was muggle born so I couldn't send them letters by Owl now , could I. Soon it would start to bring suspicion to my parents if I did so I'm just going to write in you. After we got to Hogsmede We loaded onto boats to go to the Castle across the Lake but many people do not know I get sea sick. Whether i'm on a lake or the actual sea I feel queasy so It was not that enjoyable of a boat trip...

We later lined up outside the Great Hall to be sorted into our appropriate houses. I wanted to be in Gryffindor so bad after what I head with Harry Potter , Ron Weasly and Hermione Granger! Unfortunately , since my last name begins with M , I had to wait quite a bit before I got sorted. People after People got sorted into all 4 houses , the was this girl named Genevieve Greenburg up a few places from me. She was so Pretty with her mousy brown cascading hair. When it was finally her turn it was almost as If I felt anxious for her. Headmaster Balog placed the sorting hat on her head and a second after it cried "Ravenclaw!" Everybody at the table clapped her and patted her back when she sat down. A few more people in front of me skipped up to the sorting hat and each in order got sorted into different houses. Then It was my turn to feel anxious as I crept up to the hat that talked. The headmaster placed the sorting hat on my head and at first it said nothing. I was having a very BIG panic attack. The Hall went silent. After a few more moments of thinking the Hat finally called out "Ravenclaw!" I smiled knowing that Ravenclaw was the house where , I write down precisely '"Or yet in wise old Ravenclaw, If you've a ready mind, Where those of wit and learning, Will always find their kind." Ravenclaw burst out in cheers and claps as I walked confidently towards the table. I seated my-self at the very end to avoid the elder students.

After the feast , our prefects lead all the first years to the Dorms. Gryffindors , Hufflepuffs , Slytherins and Us alike split up as we went down different hallways. Suddenly , we stopped outside a door that I soon gathered was the door to the Ravenclaw Dorms. "What came first , The Pheonix? Or the Flame?" A figure on the door asked as we each looked up at it. The prefect asked me too answer the question. I simply said 'A circle has no beginning.' Luna Lovegood got the door to unlock by saying those words so I tried. The door came back with 'Nicely phrased'. It then opened and all the Students including me , gasped as we looked around at our surroundings. Blue and Gold were Everywhere. I felt like I belonged here , which was something I never felt. I guess this is why , I was waiting to go to Hogwarts. After we all had finished gawping around , we filled into the Dorm rooms. One for the Boys and one for the Girls. It didn't look like we were assigned beds so I chose a bed near the back. I undressed from my school robes and clambered into the bed which is where I'm writing in you now! Surprisingly , It is actually REALLY comfy. Anyway , I better get some sleep. First day of classes tomorrow!
