Thunder
Chapter 2
When Frost opened her eyes, she knew immediately that she was in a different place. And she had slept through the whole night. She tried to stand up, but her left leg that Greyback had bitten stung. She whined. Then suddenly a voice said, "Frost, are you okay?"
Frost slowly turned her head, and saw the wolf she had seen before when the fight had ended with Greyback. She recognised the wolf. It was Thunder. Thunder had been a close friend to her. They had known each other for a long time.
"Thunder!" said Frost. "How -?"
"I realised soon enough that you were gone from the pack, so I went out to find you," said Thunder. He had grey dark fur, and blue eyes.
"Thunder, the hunters might have seen you," said Frost.
"They might have seen you," said Thunder. "And why were you out there anyway. It's a dangerous place."
"I know," said Frost. "And. . . I saw Greyback."
"What?" said Thunder. "You - you saw Greyback? But - but, he's been gone for ages!"
"I knew he was in the forest," said Frost. "I - I just knew. And I was right."
"Yes, but Frost, don't go out without me knowing. Okay?"
"Fine." Frost whined again. She had moved her hurt leg. She started to lick the wound.
"I wonder why he was wondering near our place again. He seemed really scared when Storm got really angry when - when. . ." Thunder hesitated for a moment then said, "When Greyback killed Snow."
Frost lowered her head.
Snow had been the mate of Storm, a pretty white wolf, just like Frost. Frost felt as though Snow was her mother, and had been as sad as Storm. Storm was also the leader of the pack of wolves.
"Anyway, I told Storm how you got hurt."
"You told Storm about Greyback?"
"Yes."
"But you know how angry Storm gets when you even mention his name!" Frost said.
"I know, but what else would I have said? Anyway, Storm will be coming shortly," said Thunder.
"Right."
"Well, just lick those wounds, and they will hopefully get a bit better," said Thunder. He looked at the view, and howled.
