About The Author
Chapter 1
Not much is known about the person behind the later content. We can be certain it was a witch, and that at a point in her life, she'd been admitted to St. Mungo's Hospital for Magical Maladies and Injuries due to "deteriorating mental health". She was also repeatedly referred to as a former Hogwarts student, most times a Ravenclaw, although there have been a few instances where she was implied to be a Gryffindor. As for her name, considerable evidence has been supplied for the following.
Lottie Summers and Lilly MacDonald
Carlotta "Lottie" Summers and Lillianna "Lilly" MacDonald were originally thought to be different women with their own histories, albeit both were commonly described to have carrot-colored hair, deep blue eyes, and soft, sweet voices. It all changed when in 2004, Bernadette Beckett, an English Squib, claimed in a radio interview that she, Summers, and MacDonald were in fact the same individual, and that she had to change identities because of the near-omnipresent elitism in her times. Her statement was immediately proven false, but to this day remains a cult devoted to her.
Maxine Armstrong
Said to be a burly brunette from the House of Gryffindor, Maxine is also rumored to have written "22 Ghost Stories for Ghosts" and "Margaret Ribs", the latter of which is among the worst-reviewed stories in Wizarding Literature. She was consistently noted as exceptionally intelligent, despite having been reduced to little more than the dimwitted subject of famous jokes by newer generations.
Emily Delacroix
Her popularity among the masses is somewhat understandable, for she is usually depicted as a kind, striking part-Veela with exemplary marks and often much more clarity of mind than the previously mentioned. While an outstanding role model, an Emily Delacroix is unlikely to be the one who'd written the entries, for there have been at least eight students in Beauxbatons Academy of Magic, located in France, with the name (all of which were recorded to end up as saleswomen) and none in Hogwarts or St. Mungo's.
