Witching Hour
Chapter 2
Witching Hour or Devil's Hour is something that every witch and wizard should know about. When you are trying to figure out if your being haunted, this hour takes a big part in it.
Witching Hour takes place at 3am every single morning. This can also mean 'midnight', but is more considered the time after midnight, 3am. In the olden days, they believed that Witching Hour is when all the ghosts, demons and witches come out into the night, but now in modern time, it is looked at differently.
Now we know that during Witching Hour is the one hour of the day when the 'veil' between the undead and the living is dropped (mentioned in muggle shows such as The Vampire Diaries and Charmed). So this hour, ghosts and sprits cross over and haunt their enemies, visit their loved ones and stroll around in children's room, wondering what it was to be alive again.
Signs of being haunted at 3am are quite simple.
If you are a night owl, and is usually awake at this time you may notice strange things:
-knocks on the other side of your closet door
-feeling a trail of fingers on your arms, legs, etc.
-suddenly very cold in the room
-voices
-cries, laughs, growls, etc.
-the feel of eyes on you
-a breath on the other side of your head
-flickering lights
-footsteps pacing in your room
-walls creaking
-you see someone
But if you are not a night owl, and suddenly awake at sometime during the 3am hour there is a reason why. You will most likely be awaken by something tugging your hair or grabbing your leg.
Now being in one of these situations can be quite frightening, especially if you see someone, but there is a way to get rid of them, for the time being.
But I should warn you, that if you get too paranoid, these things will be more likely to happen. Because if you believe, they can sense it.
Say you suddenly wake up and find a ghost in the corner of your room. You don't know if the ghost is good or bad so say "In the name of God, what do you want?" If they are bad, they will leave since you said the word 'God', if they are good they will stay and might tell you. You don't need to be religious for it to work, you just need to say it with power in your voice.
Another thing that should be addressed is the 3's. This doesn't need to happen during Witching Hour. Say if you were eating dinner and you heard knocking on the walls of windows. Listen carefully and see if these knocks come in 3, if so you have a ghost in your house.
The reason why these knocks would come in 3 is because it is mocking God. As the Catholics would say before they pray "Name the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit", they are mocking the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit.
If these things happen, I suggest continue reading on. I also suggest you watch the movie the Conjuring because it will show you more about Witching Hour. Also, here is a YouTube (a muggle website, kind of confusing to use really) link you might want to watch to help as well, further explaining this chapter;
