-Extinct
-Offspring of a fire crab x manticore
-Bred by Rubeus Hagrid
-broke the Ban on Experimental Breeding, enacted in 1965 - need permission from MoM to breed new creatures
-Hagrid wasn't charged
-Look like a cross between a scorpion and crab
-Have a tail-like limb that morphs into a stinger on each end of body
-Pale skin, no eyes
-1 side shorter than the other
-Poor vision, see through hearing
-if they hear you, they can find you
-Leg structure gives more agility

~Body Structure

-Protective shell
-Skin is covered in tough plates
-Plates give creatures their pale hue
-Will aggressively attack anyone who tries to clean plates (or gets too close)

~How Do They Attack?

-Many weapons that it can use at the same time
Bite:
-Mouth is 6 inches wide or more
-ten ft long
-venomous bite
-To attempt to handle one, wear dragonhide gloves, don't wear loose clothing, have the Antidote to Uncommon Poisons handy
-Be aware of allergic reaction symptoms
Stinger:
-Only males have them
-Females have suckers that can suck your blood
-Can move fast and stab quickly
-Can inject poison into your system (also curable by the Antidote to Uncommon Poisons)
Fiery Rear End:
-Same way a fire crab attacks
-Fireballs will be bigger since skrewts are bigger than fire crabs
-Extremely aggressive, so Knockback Jinx isn't helpful

~The Chink In the Armor

-Attacks always coordinated
-Find the opening in their armor
-Be ready to cast spell in an instant, chink only exposed for a second or 2
-Can slide under stomach (but it can lay on you)
-Can dive and hit the ground
