Chapter 3
~Spell Type: Static Spell

-Spells most often taught in this course
-Type of spell that has only one, immediate, unchanging effect once cast(Ex: Knockback Jinx)
-Concentration only takes as long as it takes to say the incantation and perform the wand movement.

~Spell Type: Dynamic Spell

-Require longer and stronger concentration
-Have extended effects or effects that can change in the middle of casting(Ex: Patronus Charm)
-Some spells can be both spell types(Ex: The Fire-Making Charm)

~Magical Exhaustion

-Every time you cast a spell, you're using magical energy within you
-The more you practice magic, the more mentally exhausted you'll become
-If you overexert yourself physically you may become nauseous, tired, or short of breath
-Similar to the above example, you can become magically exhausted
-Rest if you feel exhausted
-Symptoms of magical exhaustion may include being more prone to accidental magic as you rest
