Zephaniah Markowitz

Backstory

A happy-go-lucky half-blood with aspiration to beat, Zephaniah had been waiting for his letter his whole life. When the time came to finally board the train that was going to whisk him away from the wretched and shielded home life, despite his mother's loudest pleas, he ran as fast as he could to the platform and away from the dreadful city he'd been cooped away in his whole life.
Despite his general lack of knowledge, Zephaniah is eager to be a part of the community his muggle mother had tried to keep away from him, easily finding solace on the comfy-cozy couches in the Slytherin common room. He's curious by nature and very determined to be at the very least a competent wizard. Despite his energetic and chaotic nature, he does take the time to think on his actions, and though he may seem dense, he can be quite clever and often notices things others might not.
Zephaniah is not ashamed to admit he has quite a bit of kleptomanic tendencies, and has shown to be quite mischievous; not being unwilling to resort to lying and thievery to achieve a goal. In fact, he takes pride in his abilities and often boasts about his steals to anyone willing to listen.
Though he has no idea what he would like to do after school, he rather enjoys the company of others and wants deeply to be well-liked.
Zephaniah is a 5'4", orange-headed boy with blue eyes and a black cat called En. His wand is sycamore with dragon core, twelve and three quarter inches, surprisingly swishy. He'd rather not talk about his family life but his compulsion to brag and socialize will sometimes have him reveal things about himself he'd rather keep hidden. He loves making friends, so feel free to talk to him if you see him out around the castle!
