Christopher Thatcher

Backstory

Hi. The name's Christopher Thatcher. You can call me Chris, some of my friends call me Thatch.
I was born in Bristol, UK. My father was Theodore Thatcher, an English wizard, auror for the Ministry of Magic, and a Hufflepuff. My mother Janet is a muggle who had moved from America to the UK to care for her ailing uncle until he passed away a year later. She met my father and decided to settle down in his hometown of Bristol. When my father passed away himself, my mother took me and returned to Philadelphia. I was raised by her and my grandparents.

Because I was born in the UK to an English wizard father, I already had an acceptance letter to Hogwarts pending. Yet, my mother told me that she had expected my letter to be void when she brought me to the US. Perhaps it was due in some part to an error on the part of the Ministry or Hogwarts Staff, but when I was of the appropriate age, a professor had come to my grandparent's home and explained everything to me, my mother (who already knew of the wizarding world), and the rest of my family that was present at the time. He apparated us to England, and we prepared for my first year at Hogwarts, where I was sorted into Ravenclaw.

My wand is a 12" Inflexible pearwood wand with a dragon heartstring core.
So far, my favorite classes are Charms and Potions. Defense Against the Dark Arts is also an excellent class for me. My electives are Muggle Studies (in which I am a favored student) and Divination. My worst class is Transfiguration, despite it being so interesting.
