Athena Anasova

Backstory

The Anasovian family are said to have been around since the time of the founders and are about as pure as they come despite having no qualms with muggleborns. However not a single one has stepped a foot inside Hogwarts. True to tradition, the Anasovian Women were educated at home, in their native Russia, at the Anasova Manor. The Women were taught by members of their own family, this often meant that no-one in the outside world even knew of their existence until they are introduced to society on their 17th birthdays. Many people speculated that the Anasovian Women were hidden away because of an extraordinary power that lived within each Woman born of the blood-line. However, this has never been proven.

Athena is the only daughter born to Anastasia Anasova nee Dmiskov and Dmitry Anasova. Her older brothers Aleksander, Niklaus, Damien and her twin brother Elijah all attend Durmstrang school as fitting to tradition. Athena on the other hand was home-schooled. In some ways she believed that this gave her an advantage, there were no restrictions to her lessons, no curriculum to follow, she was able to delve into the darkest depths of magic and books and all sorts if she'd wanted (as long as Mother never found out).

It was at age 10 that her Mother discovered her in their home library reading a book on Dark Magic. Athena believes that this is the reason why she was finally allowed to attend Hogwarts. She had heard her Mother voicing concerns to her Father. Something about a ‘dark aura’ that surrounded her. It had taken some convincing on her Mothers part and a fair bit of research but Dmitry Anasova finally relented and allowed his daughter to attend Hogwarts when she received a letter on her 11th birthday. Athena was delighted, she would finally be able to make some friends. Due to her Family's history with dabbling in the dark arts, Athena was certain she would be placed in Slytherin and she was correct. Although the hat had taken quite a while to decide, something about her showing traits of all the four houses.
