Backstory

As she stepped on to the train, anxious and her hands shaking, she waved goodbye to her mother and went to find an empty carriage. A pale, scrawny girl, eyes greener than emeralds, with shiny black hair, that was kept from her face with a hairband. It was Sophie Invidia Drame's first year at Hogwarts, School of Witchcraft and Wizardry. Sophie had only been told that she was a witch two days ago, and was still in shock. She always knew that she was different from everyone else her age and she knew that she always had felt that she didn't belong in her world, She didn't however, presume she was a witch waiting to receive an education.
The day after being told she had magic in her blood, Sophie and her mother set off to Diagon Alley to purchase her school things. Sophie came from a wealthy family and was brought up with the finest education and extra curricular lessons. In the Muggle world, she was taught violin, etiquette, classical singing and many languages such as French, Latin, Cantonese and German.
Sophie was very grateful for all of her assets, but she always felt she was different from the average person. For example, Sophie didn't think it was normal to be able to make books fly over her head at the library, or to know exactly what people were thinking at times.
Although she was still in shock, she was very excited about being a witch and something told her she would be good at it.
Clutching her luggage and her new screech owl she named Amoreena, Sophie came across an empty carriage and sat down. The train was moving quite fast and Sophie could see Kings Cross Station becoming smaller and smaller.
She was nervous but extremely excited for her new life as a witch
