Backstory
After my parents finally signed the papers, at only 10 years old I was shipped to live with my aunt in the UK from Mid West America. I love my parents and they love me, but my mom's a Muggle and they just never could understand me and why I needed to leave, to come to Hogwarts. My aunt lives in Cambridge, in a small flat above her shop across from a large park where I can go and sit with my sketchbook until the sun sets. She's taught me about my family history--how we are descendants of Gunhilda de Gorsemoor, expert healer and potioneer, and that potions have been our lively hood for as long as we can remember. Ever since she explained our lineage, I've been working with her at the same apothocary shop that's been around since the 1630s.My aunt has taught me simple headache cures and ways to treat scrapes and bruises. Though she has taught me a lot, because of her job and her busy life, I prefer to stay at Hogwarts during holidays and learn what I can and practice on my own, or I travel up to my best friend Everett's family home up North and stay with them. Our fathers knew each other as children and briefly reconnected while in America on a business trip, which is when we met and we've been inseparable ever since. Because of Everett's clumsiness, I get to practice brewing often to treat any wounds that the creatures they work with might cause.
I hope to one day be an expert potioneer and professor here at Hogwarts. I would also like to travel the world to do research and develop new potions. As a Ravenclaw, I've already delved deep into my classes, leaving my only free time to paint or draw at night sitting on the window ledge of the tower watching over the lake. I'm excited to learn what I can here at Hogwarts and I hope to make a difference in the world like Gunhilda did.
