Backstory
As a muggleborn witch, I was incredibly surprised when I got my letter. At first I thought it was some huge practical joke but when i realised I was over-the-moon, especially when I was sorted into Gryffindor, despite being a hatstall- I thought they had made some error and the hat had realised I wasn't a witch! Luckily, it was just that the hat couldn't decide between Ravenclaw and Gryffindor. Being quite bright and more socially anxious, I assumed I would be placed in Ravenclaw, however my stubbornness, competitiveness, sometimes recklessness and shorter temper, the hat decided my best match would be Gryffindor. I take quite a few subjects, including Care of Magical Creatures, Arithmacy and Study of Ancient Runes which I chose for my third year. I also take Alchemy (which I chose at the end of my fifth year) and Apparition classes, which I start now I'm in my sixth year. Originally, I chose divination after initially finding it very interesting but after a bit it became tiresome and the hot classroom made me feel immensely sick. However, dropping it gave me more time to practise Quidditch and during third year (and every year since) I have managed to play as a chaser for the Gryffindor team, which is super exciting! I really wish my parents could see me play because, as muggles, I don't think they really get it. They've seen my younger sister and I practise in the garden as luckily we live in a pretty remote part of the English countryside so there are no neighbours so we can practice without being seen but I still wish they could see a game with a full team and a roaring crowd. My sister's two years younger than me but was also placed in Gryffindor as some deliberation on whether or not she was a Hufflepuff and for the first time last year she earned the position of one of the other chasers! Over the summer, I managed to take up some work experience, working under an auror at the ministry of magic and it has truly sparked an interest in becoming an auror myself when I leave Hogwarts and maybe doing a little bit of teaching here and there as I cannot fathom ever having to leave Hogwarts. Whatever happens, I'll have Nox with me. Nox is my pet kneazle... well I say pet, Nox pretty much adopted me. I was out in Hogsmead in my third year and in the snow Nox was just laying. I checked up on her to see if she was alright and she just jumped inside my coat and decided to come with me and hasn't left my side since. I named her Nox as she is this beautiful dusty dark grey with dark speckles all over. Although it was a pain getting a license for her, I managed to, with a recommendation from Hagrid and Professor McGonagall and wouldn't part with her for the world even when she gets a bit grouchy with the other Gryffindor students.
