Sean Mahoney

Backstory

Sean grew up in a household with two older brothers, who went on to become successful in the Ministry of Magic. His parents worked at the Ministry and were an inspiration to them. They both worked in the Department of Magical Law Enforcement, and his brothers both went on to work in the Department of Mysteries.
Sean'’s dream and goal is to work in the Ministry and possibly become the Minister of Magic or an Auror, at least. His relationships with his mother and father are amazing, and they talk everyday. Once he arrived at Hogwarts, everyday before he went to dinner in the Great Hall he would write a letter to her parents, telling them how he’s been and how his day went.
His eldest sibling is very serious and works all the time, barely speaking to Sean, which makes him feel sad. His second brother is always talking to Sean though, and they are best friends. He grew up being taught a few charms by his father and some cleaning spells by his mother. Of course, Sean has only read about them and has been told about them. Actually casting the spells would be illegal. He was homeschooled by his mother and father, but only reading about spells and having his parents showing him spells.
Sean never really had friends growing up, besides his brother, because they lived in the country. That is why Sean is so excited to make new friends at Hogwarts. Whenever he talked to other kids in his neighborhood, it didn’t go well, because they were Muggles. One time, when Sean was 8, he explained to another kid in the book store, that he was a wizard and everyone in his family had a wand. She told her parents, and they didn’t believe her. The girl’s name was Chloe, and they became best friends. Eventually, his father obliviated Chloe and her parents, because she knew too much. Sean was very sad about this.

Sean’s house is in the middle of nowhere, concealed by the Muggle-Repelling Charm. His father doesn’t want any Muggles by their house, because they may see magic being cast. Sean was treated wonderfully as a child, and he helped his mother cook in the kitchen every night, and he went to work with his father multiple times at the Ministry, which gave him a spark of a career choice idea. Sean would always read books on magic in the Ministry. Nothing big happened in Sean’s childhood, except that his eldest brother married his co-worker and they had a huge wedding at their house, and he was the ring bearer.
When he was 7, Amber got really mad at his eldest brother when he slammed a door in his face, and she ended up destroying his door by knocking it over on accident. That is when his parents witnessed her magical abilities for the first time. When Sean got his Hogwarts letter, which he was waiting for the whole summer and wouldn’t stop talking about, his parents were delighted, and they immediately started studying up and prepping him for his first year.
Sean’s hobbies in his childhood, which still are his hobbies, are reading, singing, cooking, watching the rain, and stargazing. Obviously, Sean grew up knowing a lot about the existence of magic, and he is studying up for her school year. Sean is delighted to begin her first year at Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry! When Amber was sorted into Ravenclaw, he felt incredible, because that’s where his older brothers and father were sorted in, and his mother was in Hufflepuff, but wanted to be in Ravenclaw. Sean also believes that he possesses the traits of a Ravenclaw, like being clever and witty. Sean also felt incredibly relieved when the Sorting Hat called his name out. He was hyperventilating the whole way to King’s Cross Station in London, and the whole way on the Hogwarts Express. Ever since he was little, he knew he would be in Ravenclaw.
