Left as a orphan by her father, the metamorphmagus and animagi was left to be raised by her uncle. She loved him of course but always wanted a true family until she meets a man with a large one. She falls in love with him as she studies at Hogwarts and as her uncle finds out she was in Hufflepuff and disowned her. She still has him and that's all that matters...right?
