Backstory

Both my grandpa on my mother’s side and my grandma on my father’s side went to Hogwarts, and married the loves of their lives but they were both muggles. Despite having magic in the family, both my parents were squibs and really didn’t know very much about Hogwarts. I got my letter on my 11th birthday in March, while it wasn’t obvious before getting the letter that I was a witch, there had been instances when everything had gone perfectly according to plan despite almost impossible circumstances. I went to Diagon Alley with my parents, following the instruction through the pub that were given on my letter. It was wondrously incredible the first time, i had no words. While my sister absolutely loved Weasley Wizard Wheezes, I was mesmerised by Ollivander’s, where I purchased my wand 11 inches, willow with unicorn hair. On the 1st of September 2015, (I guess that makes me the same year as James Sirus Potter), my family and I went to King’s Cross Station, about a 3 hour drive from Bristol, and as I got onto the train I desperately hoped that my sister would join me in 3 years time (she did join Hogwarts when I was in my 4th year). I’m quite a shy and introverted person, however when I make friends I definitely come out of my shell and chat non stop. I only knew one other girl from my town so we sat together, with 4 other girls and we began chatting (or rather they did most of it I just listened). When I was being sorted, while I didn’t have to wait an eternity the sorting hat did ponder between Ravenclaw and Slytherin, as I work hard at everything I do and am usually quite determined to achieve my ideal outcome. However I was sorted into Ravenclaw, I guess because I work hard to be clever, I’m relatively creative as I keep a scrap journal and I wouldn’t say I follow trends that much. But unfortunately none of the other girls I sat with on the train were sorted into the same house as I was. On the table, I began to slowly chat to another girl, Grace who introduced me to her friend she had met on the train Mara, it also happened that I was in the same dorm as them, and over time they became my closest friends, although I still did quietly talk to the girls from the train during lessons and breaks. I work extremely hard and this usually allows me to achieve good grades. In primary school, I had begun to become quite sporty, participating in Dance, Swimming, Hockey on Astro, Netball and Gymnastics, so I wanted to play Quidditch. In 7 aside hockey, where there was 1 upfront (seeker), 3 midfield (chasers), 2 defenders (beaters) and 1 goalie (keeper), I had played midfield or sometimes defence, so I decided to practise as a chaser, and i am quite sporty, so I would like try out for the Ravenclaw Quidditch Team in my 3rd or 4th year. I want to be a Healer when I leave Hogwarts so i’m currently studying Transfiguration, Potions, Charms, Herbology and Defence against the Dark Arts.
