Backstory

I am a Slytherin and proud of it. The Sorting Hat chose Slytherin as I am a very ambitious and stubborn person, although I am also very smart and wise. I was a bit of a hatstall as the Sorting Hat couldn't decide whether to put me in Slytherin or Ravenclaw. I adore Charms, Defence Against the Dark Arts, Potions and Transfiguration. My least favourite subject is flying lessons. I do well in History of Magic, but I don't particularly enjoy it. My blood status is a muggleborn, and my parents wanted me to be in Gryffindor when they found out about the Hogwarts houses. However, when they found out that I had been sorted into Slytherin, the evilest house apparently, they were outraged that I didn't mind. I haven't had a fully peaceful conversation with them since. Most people are shocked that I am a muggleborn in Slytherin, but what can I say? Maybe Slytherin house is changing its ways. Life as a muggleborn in Slytherin is a bit hard, as the most ridiculous purebloods don't even talk to me, but I don't care. When You-Know-Who was around, I was living in the UK but didn't really know what was happening at the time. Of course, it all makes sense now I know I am a witch. My greatest strength is my ability to deliver words of advice rudely and condescendingly. My greatest weakness is being too lenient when people are rude and disrespectful to me, I forgive them too easily. After school, I hope to join the Ministry of Magic as an Auror. The most fascinating aspect of magic for me is the ability to cause harm is just as easy as healing someone. I would like to use magic to help people, although it is useful in helping me get to where I want to be in life. When choosing between helping someone and furthering my own ends, I will usually further my own ends unless it is a life or death situation. What I want from life, when I am really honest with myself, is to be respected and to make a good impact on the world. I have a black cat and a border collie (dog) named Missy and Ralph. Ralph is a very energetic and fun pup, who loves to get into all kinds of trouble, whereas Missy is much more gentle and calm. Although she can be quite stubborn when she wants to be. My family is considered a bit odd, as we don't have much to do with Muggles or the Wizarding World, mainly floating in an in-between place. My parents still can't believe that I don't care about being put in the apparently "most evil" house. But really the Slytherins are quite fun to hang around with, once they warm up to you. You'll most likely find me in the library or in my dorm reading, studying or sleeping.
