Backstory

Wand: Ebony wood with a phoenix feather core, 12 ¼" and reasonably supple flexibility
Patronus: Hippogriff
Alba was born on January 7th in the small magic village of Balastar, located in Spain. Alba's birth brought the Umbra Cartaya family a lot of happiness. Being the only girl and the youngest with three older brothers, her childhood was full of whims. Those numerous whims were allowed by the wealth of the family. On the one hand, her father belonged to the ancestral family of the Umbra. The Umbra is one of the most important pureblood families in Spain, recognized above all thanks to Emilio Umbra, one of the most important ministers of magic that Spain has had. On the other hand, his mother belongs to the Cartaya family. This family is especially famous because of Chavelle Arbelo Cartaya, an extremely famous Quidditch player.
The story of how a Spanish witch ended up at Hogwarts is quite simple. Some Spanish muggles don't like French people, and the same goes for wizard families. This is the reason why her parents decided that she should study in Hogwarts, while her older brothers were in Durmstrang. The influence of her parents in the ministry made Alba easily accepted at Hogwarts and so her journey began.
Since Alba first entered Ollivanders to buy her wand, it was no secret to anyone that this young girl would be a brilliant witch. With an ebony wand with a phoenix feather core, she was, in Mr. Ollivander's words, an exceptionally interesting witch. Later, when she arrived at Hogwarts, the sorting hat did not doubt for a second that she belonged to Ravenclaw. And to no one's surprise, Alba excelled in all her classes.
Her life at Hogwarts is normal and happy. She is always accompanied by good friends and her two pets, a cat called Cassiel and her owl Eerie. Alba's friends would describe her as a fun, loyal and friendly person; although many times her strong character brought out the worst in her, making her get into trouble on many occasions. Despite being expected because of her surname, Alba did not play Quidditch very well and although she does not like to talk about it much, in her first year at Hogwarts she almost fell off her broom in flying class. Although this did not stop Alba from being a big fan of the sport itself, being a huge fan of the Holyhead Harpies and always going to the games where Ravenclaw played.
