Backstory

I was sorted into Ravenclaw on my arrival to Hogwarts, however the Sorting Hat debated putting me into Hufflepuff for a while - I would have been happy with either choice. I'm a Muggle-Born... as far as I know. I suspect that my mother was magical, but my father most definitely is a muggle. So far my blood status hasn't impacted my time here at school, no one in Ravenclaw has made me feel lesser for it.

I was born in the UK during the time of the Great War, so like most Muggle-Borns my records at the Ministry were destroyed for my safety. I wasn't able to attend Hogwarts when I turned 11, the same as the rest of the Muggle-Borns. We had to wait until the Great War was over, and for the Ministry to manage to reestablish the records, for us to be told what we were and be invited to study. It's strange being an older student, but most people are really kind about it, and us older students get a House dorm-room to ourselves so that we don't have to share with the kids.

The whole concept of magic is fascinating and exciting! So far I am enjoying all of my classes at Hogwarts, but I look forward to finding my speciality. Once I find the subject that calls to me, I can start to decide on a career after finishing school! As long as I get to help others I will be happy, even if it is indirectly.

When I first came to Hogwarts I brought my cat, Merlin, with me. Since being at Hogwarts I have been given an amazing opportunity to keep my own Crup puppy, Maxwell. They are both super adorable, and very intelligent. I'm training them to do useful tricks! Merlin likes to think he's the boss, but Maxwell is very affectionate and laid back.
