Backstory

When I got my letter, it was the best day of my life. I ran into my room and opened the letter. It wrote,
Dear Ms. Carroll,
We are charmed to inform you that you have been accepted at Ilvermorny School of Witchcraft and Wizardry. Please find enclosed a list of all the needed equipment and books.
The semester begins on September 1. We await your owl by no further than July 31.

My mouth opened wider than the Grand Canyon is deep. I couldn't believe my eyes. I was a muggle-born family! None of my family members were Wizards or witches. If they found out the would-be dismayed.
My parents eventually found out and accepted. (after I pleaded and begged down on my knees for hours.)
So here I am now as a first-year at Ilvermorny.
