'Ello everyone, my name's Jenny Noble from Hufflepuff. My dad's a wizard, and I never met my mum. But I had her dad, my granddad, living with us, so he more than filled the empty space in our house. Every night I would stargaze with him and dad, and I would get to hear both the wizard and muggle stories behind the constellations. But I don't like Astronomy, there's too much looking at scrolls and charts and books.
Anyway, I got my Hogwarts letter on my birthday, April 12, which made my dad smile the brightest I'd ever seen. On Diagon Ally, the best part was by far Weasleys' Wizard Wheezes, but getting my Dogwood wand with a dragon heartstring core was cool, too. But I have to say, Hogsmeade is way better. Zonko's Joke Shop AND Honeydukes? It doesn't get much better than that.
On the Hogwarts express, I found a compartment with two girls named Rachel and Rose who both ended up in my dorm, as well as another Slytherin girl named Kate and a Gryfindor boy named Rory. I was raised in a muggle neighborhood, so they were the first wizarding kids I ever met, and my only friends going into Hogwarts. But the Hogwarts Express was also amazing because that's where I discovered the majesty and splendor of jelly slugs. The trolley witch is an angel.
