Backstory

Born in 2001 to a muggle family in Cape Town, South Africa, you can imagine my surprise when I received a Hogwarts letter.

Magic and wizardry was a terrifying and mysterious world that I had up to that point only ever read about in books or seen on television. It wasn't an easy decision for my family to fly me to England and watch me run straight at a wall in a crowded train station. But there I was, doing exactly that, much to the delight of my older brother ("If you hit it head on, I get to tease you about it for as long as we live. If you actually go through to some magical world, I'll have the coolest sister ever. It's a win-win really").

Spoiler alert: I did pass through to some magical world.
Disclaimer: I was the coolest sister ever even before that.

Upon arrival at Hogwarts, I was sorted into Slytherin almost before the sorting hat could even properly rest on my head. I've since learnt to balance my magical and muggle lives and when I'm not dishing out large amounts of sarcasm and bad jokes in the Slytherin common room, you'll probably find me on some beach with my very muggle boyfriend, living our very regular life.
