Backstory

Upon arriving at the Hogwarts sorting ceremony in the Great Hall, the Hat sorted me into Ravenclaw. The first thing he said to me was that I had a very inquisitive mind, but i'm not so sure. I was definitely a hat stall, he took a long time to decide for me! At first he considered Gryffindor, and I was okay with that, at least I thought I was. That's when he changed his mind and put me in Ravenclaw. I really love Defence Against the Dark Arts, there is so much to learn! But of course, where would I be without Arithmancy? I know that everyone's least favorite class is always Potions, but really, if you keep your head down and do your work, it's not so bad. My least favorite would have to be my History of Magic with Professor Binns, I don't really fancy that class very much. I am a pureblood, however, you won't be hearing me talking trash about Muggleborns and half bloods. In fact, I have the utmost respect for them. Being a pureblood, I've never really been teased about something like that, but my friends have. That affects me too in a way, it isn't fair really, if you haven't got anything nice to say, don't say it. I would say my greatest strength is being able to read people's faces. You can tell a lot about people by just taking the time to listen to them and read what they are thinking. My greatest weakness on the other hand is my family, which I guess would also make them partly my biggest strength when you think about it. I'm in my fourth year at Hogwarts, but when I graduate, my dream is to work in a high ranking position in the Ministry of Magic, maybe an Auror as well...there's too much to decide! The most fascinating part of magic for me is the way it can change people, for good or bad. Voldemort (Remember, "Fear of a name only increases fear of thing the itself") is a really good example of that, but magic can also change you in ways that you never imagined, it could feed you knowledge, so you can soar above others, or destroy your life forever, and that is amazing. I think I want to use magic to help others more than myself, but every once in a while, maybe I can use some to help myself with a few things. What I really want honestly more than anything, is to be successful, and to be accepted as who I am. I have a cute little baby Barn Owl that is still growing, but I know that one day she will grow to be quite a handsome animal. Her name is Althea, it’s such an ethereal name isn't it? My father happens to be the right hand man to the Minister for Magic, but I don’t boast much about it. My mum doesn’t really have an occupation per say, but she is a very hardworking and kind woman. However, my sister, before she was born, my mother was fed some sort of nasty potion that didn’t do her well. And my sister ended up being born with fox ears and a tail as well. When she was little, it looked cute but now, well, she’s eleven and let’s just say she looks comical. SHe’s very sensitive about it though, so I’ll make sure to look out for her. It’s a funny thing, magic, isn’t it?
