Backstory

Hi, i’m Elsie! I’m the second eldest of five children so I knew what to expect when I received my Hogwarts letter in the post. My brother Finneas is in his third year so he was able to help me get used to all of the chaos here at Hogwarts. He’s in Ravenclaw too. He’s quite proud of it actually. He jokes with his friends from other houses that he’s smarter and superior but i’m not so sure. Yes he’s book smart but street smart not so much. He’s just another quidditch obsessed teenage boy. But enough about him:) My other three siblings are as follows. There’s little baby Agnes (everyone calls her Aggie) she’s only two, theres Caspian, he’s seven and then there’s Arabella. She’s 10, just a year younger than me. Bella is my best friend and i was so sad to leave her for school but next year we’ll be Ravenclaws together and all will be right with the world again! My mum’s muggle born and me dad’s in Kenya working with dragons and other creatures so we live in the city. Mum has strict rules about no magic in front of the muggles so she doesn’t use her wand much (which makes helping her cook a pain). But that’s the price we pay for great windows. Like i said, dad’s in Africa on business so mum has to take care of the kids on her own. His work abroad was supposed to be temporary but duty called so he’s based there for a few years. But he comes home for holiday and always bring us back gifts:) He makes a ton so he sends back money each month so mum can take care of the kids all day. Our flat seems small for seven people but we used magic to make the interior loads larger;) We live in bustling London but our street is famous in the wizarding community for being inhabited by magic folk only. The street is filled with book shops, parks and record shops so without a doubt its a great place to live. My best friends are Daphne, Xinnia (Nia for short) and Zander. We’re all in Ravenclaw. But I occasionally sit with a group of Hufflepuff girls who have a book and all things magic club.
