Backstory

Isobel Watford
January 25, 1997
Half-Blood
Isle of Skye, Scotland

Magical Information
Wand Details: Isobel's wand is made from Walnut wood, with a thunderbird tail feather core, and is 12" in length. The flexibility is listed as "hard" and the wandmaker has described it's character as "starry" due to the design on the wand handle, looking like the dark universe filled with stars. This wand was not obtained at Ollivander's Wand Shop.

Patronus: Isobel's patronus initally was a salamander, meaning that she can adapt to different environments and is open and willing to accept change. Recently, however, her patronus has changed to a black cat as a consequence of bereavement.

Background
Coming from the Isle of Skye in Scotland, Isobel Watford is a half-blood witch with a special knack for Transfiguration. She loves creating technical objects and using her imagination to challenge her magical ability. She aced classes such as Transfiguration, Potions, and Alchemy due to the practical and thought-provoking side of the lessons - an interest in which she had picked up from her muggle mother.

Her brother was much more like their father: Hufflepuffs with a strong interest in quidditch and ancient studies. Regardless of their differences in interests, Marius made sure to look after Isobel in her first few years at Hogwarts. This included making sure she got to experience the Hogwarts Express for the first few times with her peers (unlike he had due to their relatively close proximity to the school) and checking up on her coursework, though it may have ended up that she was helping him with more advanced Transfiguration work than what she was given.

Needless to say, she had won the Transfiguration Today Most Promising Newcomer award, which admittedly boosted her self-confidence in her understanding and performance of transfiguration spells, eventually achieving Outstanding grades in her O.W.L.s and N.E.W.T.s. After winning the award, she decided to dedicate her time and effort in going into the field of magical engineering where she is now one of the leading engineers in finding innovative ways to utilise the available ability, with a specialisation in Transfiguration.

Fun Facts
Isobel has never taken to Hogwarts Express past her second year. Due to her proximity to Hogwarts, her father would always take his children to Hogsmeade and have one butterbeer with them before the school year starts. Sometimes their friends would join with them as well.
