Backstory

The day I received my Hogwarts letter, inviting me to join Hogwarts and explaining that I was a witch was one of the most exhilarating but weirdest days of my life! My parents are both wizards and witches and they both attended Hogwarts (in fact, that's where they first met and ended up falling in love and having me and my older brother and sisters.) No one ever told me about Hogwarts until I was 9, I guess they just figured that I was too young to take it all in and wouldn't really understand! I have two sisters and one brother. My older sister just recently graduated from her last year at Hogwarts, and only she and my parents are allowed to use magic outside of the school. I wish I could, (not that I know any magic yet because it's only my first year but still!!) My other sister is in her 3rd grade and my brother is in his 5th. Apart from receiving my letter to attend Hogwarts, the best part of the Summer holidays was visiting Diagon Alley and collecting all my stuff, ready for my first year at school! My family and I all travelled by Floo powder and it made me feel super dizzy but it was amazing to finally see how my parents got to work everyday! My father has a job as the head of the magical creatures community and he works in the ministry. My mum, on the other hand, is a famous Quidditch player! When I grow up, I want to be just like her!! When we first arrived at Diagon Alley, we walked to the Leaky Cauldron to collect my cauldron and little bits and pieces. The innkeeper of the Leaky Cauldron was an odd but friendly man, and I was always getting confused as to where we were, but as my parents had been here a lot as they had 4 children, they knew their way around there like the back of their hands. The coolest part of Diagon Alley was picking out my wand. that was so sick!!! I also love reading and might be finished with the first book before I actually get to school!!
