Backstory
Part anthropologist, part detective, and part historian, I research the origins of spells and write about their rich history. Along the way, I collect colorful anecdotes about the witches and wizards who invented them. For the most part, I catalog the simple charms we use every day; sweeping charms, charms to hang the laundry, charms for finding your keys. You'd be surprised how interesting the simplest spells can be when you find out the tales behind them. I bet you can recall the spell to turn a rat into a water goblet, but what I bet you don't know is that the witch who invented it was cursed! Occasionally, I get my nose into the wrong places, but I'm skilled at bluffing charms and can concoct a veritaserum to rival Severus Snape's!I am the daughter of a Witch mother and a Muggle dad. We used to live in a little cottage in a wizarding neighborhood in Britain. Mom had a small potion business. Dad worked from home too, selling stories to Muggle newspapers. Now, they're both gone and I live in the cottage with my three cats, Luther, Vince, and Naboo.
