Backstory

For most of my life I lived in America. In fact, I just moved to London right before my tenth birthday. Both my parents are muggles and the realization that I was a witch didn’t do anything to our relationship. In America, I had never gone to a boarding school, so Hogwarts was a big change for me. In my first year, I had an awfully hard time adjusting to not seeing my parents, who are muggles, after classes were over. Soon, though, I met some paintings that comforted me and the magic of Hogwarts won me over. I cannot express how much I love the library here! I’ve always liked all libraries. They give me a warm feeling and I’m always excited to see what I can find. Before receiving my acceptance letter, I had always obsessively loved reading fantasy books. Non-fiction was tolerable, but unless it was a subject I was interested in, I quickly grew bored of it. That’s not the case here! Everything is so fascinating that I can’t help but want to read every book I can in the library.
