Backstory
In my first year, I was sorted into the house of Hufflepuff. I remember hearing the hat speaking to me, debating whether or not I was to be in Hufflepuff or Ravenclaw. This didn't surprise me, as I've always been told I was intelligent, and I knew myself to have a heart of gold. It took a minute or so before the hat cried "HUFFLEPUFF!", and I knew no matter what, I would find my place in this house.I enjoy all of my classes regardless (I guess I'm just studious like that), but of the core classes, the ones I particularly enjoy tend to be herbology and astronomy.
I am a half-blood, but I didn't know much about magic until I was 11, when my mother, a muggle born witch, told me about magic and I was accepted into Hogwarts. My blood status hasn't affected me too much so far, gladly.
I guess my two greatest strengths are both parts of my personality. I'm kind to others, which oftentimes leads others to be kind as well, so I haven't created enemies, and I'm pretty intelligent, so school isn't so difficult for me usually. However, these come with downsides, my weaknesses. I trust others pretty quickly, maybe a bit too easily, and I tend to think too much, which drives myself crazy.
I don't know what I want to do after school, so I'm hoping to figure that out soon. I feel the most fascinating aspect of magic is how it is so complex, and how it can be used in so many different ways, and I feel magic is meant to improve the lives of not just wizards, but every creature. Magic should be used to create a better world, and solve everyone's problems, not just our own. To be honest though, what I really want is to lead a simple life full of happiness.
I don't have any pets with me, but I left behind my bulldog named Chuck, a silly but calm and cuddly dog, and my hyper chocolate lab named Snookie. My family in general is quite normal, I suppose. That's my backstory in a nutshell!
