Backstory

My father was Perseus Rosier, the elder brother of Evan Rosier. Rosier being one of the "Sacred 28" pureblood families. Evan died a Death Eater the year before Voldemort’s first downfall. Perseus never agreed with the views on muggles and only became a Death Eater out of formality. For awhile, after his little brother’s death he wasn’t the same. After Voldemort’s first downfall he felt he could shed the formalities. He married Magnolia “Maggie” Richmond. A woman from a prominent and wealthy Muggle family. Nonetheless, a muggle. He was effectively disowned and his name removed from family documents. It was a scandal that shocked the Wizarding World. I was named Maleficentia or Mal Latin for "harmfully malicious" because my Dad still wanted to give me a Latin- based name. I was born in 1995 and the Battle of Hogwarts took place in '98. I was only two when it was decided it would be better for me to be raised by my muggle grandparents in a small town near the coast of England. Thankfully, both my parents made it out alive and I went back to living with them after the Battle. At Hogwarts the Sorting Hat was torn between placing me in Ravenclaw or Slytherin. I chose Slytherin. After graduating I traveled to New Orleans to study under what the muggles call a "voodoo priestess". When I travelled back to London I opened an Apothecary in Diagon Alley.
