Ezra Fenway

Backstory

Ezra Willowyn Fenway, born in 1939, I was raised in Northern Ireland near the forest of Tollymore. Growing up in a Pagan household, I come from a mixed background of Natural Druidic Witches and Wand Wavers.

My father, Tariq Samir Shafiq, was from a Squib line of the Pure-blood House of Shafiq from the middle east. He was killed not long after my third year of life in a skirmish between Aurors and some of Grindelwalds’s followers. His brother, my Uncle Faiza, is the only relative I know from his family. Whilst my mother, Cliona Eithne Fenway, would be considered Muggle-born as she did not originate from any ancient house; even though her Gaelic side of the family has held magic as far back as the time of Merlin and Morgana.

Although my status is Half-blood, I do have creature blood from my Gaelic ancestry. My maternal great-grandmother was one of the Fair Folk. Nature Fey blood manifested during my coming of age, which has caused me to take on some characteristics of my ancestors; including a longer life span and a better connection with Gaia.

Growing up during the height of Grindelwald's power, my remaining family stayed far away from the happenings of the Wizarding World. Thus, I became more versed in the wandless majik's of my Druidic heritage than magic requiring a focus to perform. As a young child my interest in potions and brewing came about because of my two grandfathers, Cian Fenway and his husband Liam Oisin, who were a healer and herbalist respectably in our small community. I started working with flora and fauna next to them, helping gather and prepare ingredients, and learning the correct practice in the art of brewing.

Over time most of my schooling was done through Apprenticeships rather than attending classes in academia. I received degrees in Magizoology and Herbology at 16 under Retired Headmistress Benedita Dourado at Castelobruxo School of Magic in Brazil. At the age of 23, I finally obtained my 'Advanced Mastery of Potionry' degree and 'Potions Master' title under my Master, Vendres R. Ethersword. After finishing my education, I took up a peripatetic lifestyle, traveling from place to place for new ingredients, texts, elixirs, and magical enhancements from all types of cultures and locations.

Years later, I settled down and set up shop in a small magical community in Geiranger, Norway.
Proud owner and proprietor of "Willowyn's Apothecary", which has been selling home brewed potions, bottled tinctures, dried herbs and ingredients since 1969.
