Backstory

When I was 11 suddenly a letter turned up in my mailbox from a mysterious place called Hogwarts. My parents said it was a school for wizards. At first I thought it was a prank, but then I remembered. My mum's great-great grandmother was a mermaid. Every women on my mom's side of the family ever since has a patch or 2 of mermaid scales on them. I have mermaid scale ankles. My mum always said if a muggle asks, they are dry patches of skin. I didn't no what a muggle was, so I just told every one that. But now I know. A non-magical person. Someone like Dad. A few days later, we went to Diagon Alley. We went through the alley, and I have to say, I was kind of scared. People looked, well-interesting. First we went to Olivader's Wands and I got a wand. I really wanted to try out a spell, but mum said I had to wait. I was kind of embarrased and I couldn't really understand anyone because they all had accents. I'm from the US, not the UK, ok? I got an cat and named her Ginger. Then, just a few weeks ago, I got to Hogwarts and learned a really cool spell... how to project movies with your wand. There are no electronics at Hogwarts, and I was really into US History and of course I knew all about Hamilton. Oh, did I mention? He's my grandfather, well, with a lot of greats. His daughter, my grandma(with greats), wanted to be a Schyuler, so that is why my name is Juliana Schyuler. So back to the story...I thought about watching Hamilton because I had never seen it in the theatre before and for the first time, my spell worked! It was my first spell and I will remember it forever. I hope the rest of my time at Hogwarts is that good!
