Backstory

I was born and raised on a small strip of land between Florida's murky swamps and the sandy beaches of the Atlantic. With the support of the MACUSA, I left my home, flying overseas to become a student of healing. Studying the magical arts of healing is a long and arduous four year process followed by several more years of working for a Healer as their apprentice. After years of study, I've returned to the northern reaches of my home country where I'll continue my study in the hospital wards this year of the great American eclipse. Work goes on but in the streets are faint whispers of dark times to come. The eclipse and her preceding blood moons are rumored to be an ominous sign, a harbinger, of death. With so much work on my plate, I have little time to worry over superstitions but in my heart I feel an uneasiness. Could this feeling just be concern of the approaching northern winter against my southern blood or could it be something worse?
