Backstory
My name is Bec, he/him pronouns, and I've transferred to Hogwarts from America. An uncommon occurrence... I guess. I’m a half-blood, but my magic had a hard time settling in. Instead of rejecting and repressing it, I channeled it unknowingly into art. I still do, sometimes, when I'm working on something personal or if the process is longer than usual. To get a little more personal, I'm an average student though I've always been excited to learn more about subjects I enjoy. I’m thrilled to be able to learn magic, even if I’m a little late. I’m not sure what I’d want to do after I finish school, but I like the idea of merging mediums. In other words, I want to combine technology with magic and maybe make everyday life easier for both wizards and muggles.
I found out I was a Slytherin which surprised me a little but I've learned to take pride in my leadership skills and ambitious goals. The hat took a while to decide between Slytherin and Ravenclaw, and even Hufflepuff was on the table for a bit. Gryffindor was the only obvious house that I would NOT fit into.
I have a pet cat named Danny Phantom and a ball python named Monty (Python) because, yes, I am a total child. They get along pretty well; Danny is very sweet and Monty is on the shy side around new people until he gets to know them.
Here's a few other standard things. I'm not the best at writing, so I'll just list some traits of mine.
- Sexuality: Pansexual (prefer men, but everyone is just... pretty)
- Relationship Status: Single
- Age: 16
- Height: 5'11"
- Wand: Cedar wood with a phoenix feather core, 13 ¾" with "surprisingly swishy flexibility" (though I'm not sure if this matters)
- Patronus: Russian Blue Cat
- Traits: Good: quiet, loyal, perceptive/observant, hardworking
Bad: can be bad with social cues (I take things literally sometimes), intimidating (so I've been told), not very
emotional
- Likes: books, some cartoons (Over the Garden Wall is a personal favorite of mine) and superheroes (both DC and Marvel), sweaters, animals, forests, hazy days, music
- Dislikes: entitlement, too much noise, history (though I do respect learning about the past, I find it to be frustrating), too much wind
I guess that’s all the basics… but I look forward to meeting other people and learning more about magic. See you around.
