STORY
I just started at Hogwarts, and I can't wait to get going. The classes I'm most excited about are Charms and Care of Magical Creatures, although I know the second one isn't going to be an option until next year. I've always been fascinated by magical creatures - we have a kneazle at home, and now that I'm in school I get to have my very own eagle owl, who I named Brody. I hope to spend as much time as I can down at Hagrid's hut helping him out with the various creatures he always manages to have around. I'm a halfblood, a little unusual in that both my parents are actually muggleborns. They both went to Hogwarts, although they were a few years apart, but their families had complete opposite reactions to the whole magic thing. My mum's family were super distrustful of it, and only got to be more so as my mum continued to learn and grow into her magic. They kicked her out after catching her doing homework in the summer before her fourth year, and she went to live with her best friend instead. My dad's family, on the other hand, was really excited about magic and Hogwarts, and always interested in learning about what he was doing at school. They also made a point to get to know some of the wizarding families, at least the ones that accepted them. His younger brother developed magic, too, and wound up in the same year as my mum - that's how they met.
