Growing up, Modesty was raised to recognise the value of diligence, yet she still respected the morals of thoughtfulness, hardwork and consideration for others. She studied conscientously as the arrival of her acceptance letter drew near, fascinated by the Wizarding World and all the magic within. Her parents, Aveline and Elias, were among her greatest sources of inspiration. As two alumnis from Hogwarts, they ensured that their daughter was well-aware of the many aspects of magic - granting her an advantage in studying in advance. Positive reinforcement and reassuring encouragement boosted her to strive for excellence.

Modesty's sorting ceremony was a near-hatstall - the Sorting Hat deliberated greatly between Hufflepuff and Ravenclaw. Its ultimate decision marked the beginning of her new life as a proud Badger. Instantly, her curiousity and dedication to learning earned her a position as one of the highest-flourishing students; her hardwork to studies contributed to her excellent grades.

While Modesty found the typical Hufflepuff strengths in hardwork, patience, thoughtfulness and consideration... weaknesses arose as well. Sensitivity, timidity and a perfectionist nature often led to awkward isolation and an overly-anxious, obsessive desire to excel. However, such challenges were gradually overcome with the support of one true best friend. Like the moon gleaming among the darkest nights, coruscating only from the reflection of the sun which brightened the universe - Modesty forged a unbreakable friendship with an elusive ever-optimist. Thriving on their constant support for one another, she learned to break free from the shackles restraining her down.

In her studies, Modesty developed two prominent interests regarding a future occupation: a wandmaker or an owlet trainer - and she believes that she would thoroughly enjoy both. Her fascination with wands came from reading about the nature of wandwoods, the magic of their cores, and the special personal connection they possess with their owner. An interest for owls was easily derived from taking care of her own - Eloquence, a beautiful Eastern Barn Owl that had grown exceptionally dear to her.

With these aspects of her identity, she looks forward to seeing what my future - both within and outside of Hogwarts - will have to offer.
