Backstory

(New Student) On my eleventh birthday, whenever my first got my letter,i was extremely surprised. Both of my parents are muggles with no magical members (that i know of ) so naturally they were surprised as well. At first, we didn't know if my Hogwarts letter was real and that i truly was a wizard, but after thinking it over for a while i realized how i have always felt different from the muggle world, like an outsider, and that this made sense. Now, aside from my family and i being completely stoked, we were essentially helpless. We had no idea of the wizarding world much less about how to contact/ travel there. So, we sent a letter back to Hogwarts asking them how. A couple days later a beautiful snowy white owl appeared at my doorstep with a letter from the headmaster of Hogwarts, Armando Dippet, explaining how to reach Diagon Alley along with recommendations of the best stores for school materials. About a week later, my mother and i took the train to the Leaky Cauldron and made our way to the back of the bar, just as Headmaster Dippet had instructed us. Upon pressing the sequenced bricks, i was amazed at the sight of the busiest and biggest alleyway i had ever seen. Before me were people of all differing kinds, women dressed in short dresses with feathers covering them, teenagers and young adults in cloaks ranging in color and size, and many men and a few women in extravagant suits/pantsuits. Immediately i felt like i fit in. My mother and i then made our way inside and were engulfed in all the new and exciting scents and sights. We then made our way to the first shop on my list, Ollivanders Wand Shop, where my wand chose me, which by the way is perfect. Its smooth black wood is long (eleven and a half inches to be exact) and nearing the end the wood starts to spiral leading into an exquisite marble and pink shell at the end. To be blunt, we the went on to buy the rest of my wizard essentials and school supplies, and quite a few new clothes that i convinced my mother into buying me. We then left and awaited for the special day, September 1st. Once this momentous day arrived, i went alone to the train station because my mother had to watch my siblings and my father was stationed in the United States due to the conflict of WW1. Once arriving at the train i was amazed. Students of all ages and their parents were eagerly boarding the train and saying their last goodbyes; I then made my way into the train and found an empty seat near the middle of the train, and made myself comfortable. For the first time i felt as though i belonged, and to say the least i was ecstatic. This is really what i would be surrounded by for the rest of my life, this is what i would be for the rest of my life!
