Backstory

I'm Ava, welcome to my backstory :)

I was born to Maya and Henry Mack, a witch and a Muggle, not knowing anything about my true identity until I turned 11. Growing up, I was very attached to my older brother, Luke, until one day he set fire to the kitchen and my parents sent him to a boarding school. I was devastated and tried to defend him but my parents wouldn't listen. I started only seeing him during Christmas and Summer passed by before I understood the truth. He started wearing strange robes, talking about unexistent foods such as "butterbeer" (was he drinking at 11 years old?!) and everything was becoming ominous. A couple of years later, he came home in the middle of the school year to surprise me for my 11th birthday. In the midst of London rain, the sound of an owl chirping could be heard. I hushed to the window to see a snow-coloured owl with a letter of her beak staring at me. 

Now if you're reading this, you're probably a wizard and the chances of you knowing what happened next are very high. I found out that I was a witch and would start attending Hogwarts. My brother revealed that he'd been studying there for the past years and my mother explained that she never told me in case I didn't get my letter, so I wouldn't be disappointed. 

On my first day, I was sorted into Gryffindor. When I told my mother she was extremely proud, being a Lion herself. My brother was in Slytherin but was still happy for me.
