Backstory

My name is Poetry Moreau, Poe to all my friends. I was not surprised in the slightest when I received my Hogwarts Letter — this was something my parents have prepared me for since I can remember. I am ambitious, determined, resourceful, opinionated, highly intelligent, and fiercely independent. These qualities made me perfectly suited to be sorted into Slytherin. Unsurprisingly, I come from a pure blood family, an only child born to two balanced Slytherin parents who were neither neglectful nor overbearing. My blood status has certainly opened many doors for me, but my parents are insistent on me making my own path. My father was a professional quidditch player in his younger days, but is now a very talented Auror for the MoM, while my mother is a brilliant Alchemist.

I have three pets of my own: Nyx, Zariya, and Nova. Nyx is my yellow-eyed, jet black owl. He is a remarkably loyal companion and will be the only pet attending Hogwarts with me. Zariya, a unicorn yearling, was given to me by my parents when she was a foal. She is gentle for her age and quite precocious, but bonded to me quickly and I will miss her when I am away. Nova is a stunning white wolf pup, the most recent gift from my parents. She is a fierce little thing, always finding her way into trouble of some kind, but she has quickly become my partner in crime — much to my parents’ dismay.

I am most excited for potions and D.A.D.A, but dreading herbology and history of magic because they sound dreadfully boring.
