Backstory

Hi, my name is Ingrid and I've just started my fifth year here at Hogwarts. I'm really nervous about the OWL's but let's ignore that for now. I'm a muggleborn and mysterious things happened around me during my childhood, but my parents always told me there was a logical explanation behind it, or that I had imagined it up. When some weird person knocked on our front door and explained that I was a witch and would be attending a boarding school in Great Britain, and I realised she told the truth, I was first really happy. My childhood dream had come true - not the "Win 1 000 000 000 000 dollar"-dream or "Become a Princess"-dream or "Become a superhero"-dream, but the "Become a magician"-dream. Then I was scared - I would leave my school friends, my scout friends, my family, for a school in a country with a language I was just half fluent in. But I made great friends here, and I picked up the language quite quickly too. And it turned out my one year younger childhood friend, Emilia, was also a witch. Now she goes to Hogwarts too, a Hufflepuff fourth year, but we still meet to study together or play games or draw or just talk. She is my best friend here at Hogwarts. But I still miss my family during the school year.
