Backstory

Coming from a family of muggles, magic was always unheard of, except in fairytales. Elodie, as a young girl, always had believed in magic and faeries, and would always love when she accidentally cast magic, even if her parents didn't believe her. As she grew older, the sightings of faeries lessened, but the magic never stopped, if anything it only got better. If she were to step on a patch of dead grass, flowers would pop up and bloom right under her feet. Finding dead birds in her yard, Elodie would be able to 'wake them back up'.

Her parents didn't pay this much mind until Elodie had a fatal accident, that ended her life instantly. Reaching the hospital, Elodie was able to revive herself with her magic and by making a contract with a demon. It was a phenomenon that shocked all the doctors, which lead to more testing before she was released. Her revival caused her to gain a weak heart condition, her not being able to enjoy physical activity so much, and the demon being able to possess her body if allowed to by the girl.

Months passed until she reached her 11th birthday, receiving a letter from Hogwarts. Elated, Elodie begged her parents to let her go. Thinking this to be the phenomenon that kept their daughter alive, they reluctantly allowed her to go, wanted her to learn how to control her magic better.
