Backstory

I am Muggle born, so my dad had a shock when the letter from Hogwarts came hurtling out of our fireplace when I was eleven years old.He never believed in witchcraft at all, and kept saying it was nonsense. I, on the other hand, was so excited as I always felt witchy, and rumour had it that one of my ancestors used to be a witch but it was kept so secret that I still don't know who it was. I explained to my dad how much it meant to me to attend Hogwarts, but he wouldn't have it all, so I stayed on at a Muggle school instead. I have lived an ordinary life and had my own daughter who is extraordinary and is now all grown up. Even though I've lived like a Muggle for a long time, that witchy feeling has never left me. Luckily, I have been able to come to Hogwarts as a mature student so I can be the witch I am. The Sorting hat has put me in Ravenclaw because apparently I am wise, witty and intelligent. My weakness might be that I don't always fit in with people but this is a strength too because it means I have the strength to do things alone when i have to. That being said, that bearded giant that led us here seems really friendly and I'm sure the other students here are really nice too. I'm lucky enough to have two pets; a black cat called Lillius and an owl called Snowflake. If any of you look for me, I am most likely to be out on the castle grounds or in the library. Either way, you'll know it's me, as I've usually always got my head buried in a book.
