Backstory
They were in their 7th year. My mother, Carmen Wittaker, was passing her classes with flying colors. Sadly my father, Kieth Harlow, was not. Carmen noticed this. They were in the same house and were friends with the same people. Carmen had a good soul and decided it would be in her best interests to tutor him. At first, Kieth was too ashamed to admit he needed help, but Carmen persuaded him to try it out. Kieth enjoyed it, but wouldn't let it show. After a while, Kieth's grades improved and he became so thankful that he invited her to join him over Christmas Break. That was only the beginning. They spent hours in the library. They became so close they were inseparable. During Christmas break, Carmen had a wonderful time with Kieth and his family and was sad to leave. But Carmen and Kieth had to. They went back to Hogwarts and right after the school year was over they married. About 3 years and a bit late they had me.My mother had tried to have me earlier, she did, but she had some miscarriages. I came out at an ideal time though. My mother and father had just picked up at work, so it was easier to support me when I came. I remember the first words my mother said to me. 'Little one- How happy I am that you are a girl, I've would never have asked for anything but'. So there you go. My mother treasured me and loved me so much, for one can never run out of love. I always did wonder what my mother would have said if I had been a boy. My parents bought a nice house in Spinner's End, with my father's inheritance, and I've lived there ever since.
Around the time I was 6 I had my first magical experience. My parents had to work all day so they sent me to daycare. Not their finest decision. Anyways, I was with the group, it was recess time. Two boys were fighting. I can never remember what they were fighting about. I wasn't thinking because I just stepped in between them. Let me just tell you, it is not a good idea to step in between anyone fighting. Somehow, the boys stopped, decided peace was a better option, they became friends later in the year. Some may say it was just a coincidence. I never thought so. Those two boys were mighty angry with each other. Even the teachers had a hard time trying to achieve peace. If it was just a coincidence then my first magical experience would be blowing up the vase my gran gave my mom for Christmas. Mom hated that thing. She tried to be nice about it, but couldn't find a way. I just kinda wanted it to stop, so, BOOM! Another magical experience I've had as a child is when I and my mom were baking chocolate chip cookies. We rolled the balls out across the pan but were short of two. I was working on aligning the cookies so it wouldn't look like we were missing any when one of the balls split in two. The same happened with another. Four identical balls lay in the middle of the pan. I raised my eyebrows at this. The two magic-induced cookies tasted horrendous though. Who knew you couldn't create food? I was just a kid so I didn't know.
Four years later, I got my Hogwarts letter. It was beautiful, with green calligraphy on a warm tan. I opened it right there, not even waiting for my parents. After going through it I raced upstairs and packed most of my belongings into a hard suitcase I got a few years back. When my parents got home they were only slightly surprised. They congratulated me and we headed to Diagon Alley the next day.
I was very excited to go to Madam Malkins, I love clothes you see. We went there first. I got fitted for my robes and got my generic Hogwarts uniform. Mother bought me dress robes, too. For what, I may never know. We visited Olivander's soon after and I picked up a wand. Maple and Dragon Heartstring, 11.5 inches. From there we went to grab the rest of my school supplies at The Apothecary and Eeylops Owl Emporium where I picked out a barn owl later dubbed, Cennet (JUH-net). Later, we went to Florish and Blotts where I got my books in addition to some light reading and a journal to sketch in. We finished off the day at Florean Fortescue's Ice Cream Parlor. According to my mom, she always finished off a day of shopping with ice cream.
A couple of weeks later I was boarding the Hogwarts Express. My parents taught me to run through the column and though I went. The platform was bustling and warm. Kids of all ages desperately awaited their journey to Hogwarts. I nearly jumped onto the express. Like all the kids on the platform, I couldn't wait for this train ride to Hogwarts.
