Backstory
As a child, I loved mysteries. They were fascinating to me and pushed me to learn more about the world around me. My father's field of work was the biggest mystery I had ever faced and now I find myself having the same occupation as him, except in a different chamber. Unspeakables protect the British government and studied the world. Our line of work doesn't allow us to tell people much more than that, hence the name. So instead, I'll say some things about myself!Back in 1981, I was sorted into the house of Salazar Slytherin. I aspired to be just like my father and the Sorting Hat seemed to believe I was as cunning and ambitious as the other snakes. For that I am thankful, because it was in my new house that I met my best friends.
Professor Snape was the youngest of the staff and also fairly new at teaching. I could tell he was going through a difficult period in life and unintentionally took it out on the students. His strict methods put fear into the weak of heart and nobody dared to move during his classes. But I liked him. Throughout my years at Hogwarts, we would often have private conversations in which we get to know one another better. While I enjoyed his classes despite everything, I truly believed Dumbledore had made a mistake hiring someone whose best friend had died two months prior. It was affecting Snape not only as a person, but as a teacher.
