Backstory
(Second-Year Student)Ever since I was a young girl, I dreamt of casting spells, flying, and fighting against "evil" beings. It had seemed like an impossible dream, and I had been regularly mocked for believing in it, as, although I was born in a pureblood family, they had decided to keep the world of wizardry and magic far away from my grasp. I had no recollection of any use of magic in my household (which was most probably the work of a few memory charms), until a peculiar letter from Hogwarts arrived at my doorstep, and so my journey began. My father, who had been a Slytherin as a student, and my mother, a Hufflepuff, instantly began teaching me all there is to know about magic, and I could with complete confidence say that I knew everything I was about to take in my first year at hogwarts. Though, despite this fact, it didn't seem any less fascinating when I truly heard it from my teachers. I had a sycamore wood 11 3/4" wand (in length), with a Phoenix feather core, and a slightly springy flexibility. My visit in Diagon Alley was a very thrilling one to say the least, and, although my father had threatened to harm me had I not gotten into Slythern, which caused me to feel extremely nervous upon putting on the sorting hat, as I was considered a "hatstall" as it took an entire minute for the hat to decide, and finally put me in Ravenclaw, though, as ashamed as I am to admit it, the hat had considered putting me in hufflepuff or slytherin, though I refused, since I didn't want to have anything in common with my parents. I did in fact like to read and write books, and I was always considered witty amongst my family members and friends, so I do appreciate being put in this house, where I'm sure I'll find a lot of people I can consider close friends. I like almost all of the subjects taught at hogwarts, though astronomy seems a bit plain compared to the rest of the subjects. I have always done exceedingly well in charms and flying class, though I really didn't enjoy charms lessons as much as the rest of the classes, it was simply my mother's specialty. I really hated History of Magic, but it had taught me about the three types of wizards (Pureblood, half-blood and muggleborn), and soon learned that my family was a very rich and noble pureblood family, who had almost always managed to reach important status's in the magic world; which of course elevated my social status at the school, though I can't say I enjoyed having all that attention, but it made me feel more welcome and gave me more opportunities to meet new people. Though when He-Who-Must-Not-Be-Named rose to power for the second time, I was quite terrified since my name had been high on his hit-list due to my heritage, but I managed to survive and use my influence to help others. However, my father had died at You-Know-Who's hands, though I can't say it affected me much, I never really liked that abusive bastard. As I may have mentioned, I am particularly outstanding at casting spells and flying a broom, though I admit that herbology and care of magical creatures hasn't always been my strong suit, and I was terribly at associating with those of the opposite sex.
Though I still find every single aspect of magic fascinating, nothing truly ceases to amaze me, not even riding a broom for the millionth time a day, because it would always continue to give me a weird rush of excitement, with a little bit of anxiety of course. To be honest, I haven't the slightest clue what I aim to be after graduation, but I've always wanted to leave my mark on this world, so I suppose I'd probably become an Auror or a professional quidditch player, and perhaps later on become a professor at Hogwarts. You see, i have always wanted to help others in whatever way I possibly can, though I do in fact nourish the idea of using said abilities for my own selfish desires, however, I would also truly attempt to make a compromise that would benefit both myself, and those in need of help (The Minister of Magic sure does sound like a nice title, doesn't it?). Truthfully, if I had one desire it'd probably be to find happiness, perhaps by growing up in a different, proper, and more loving family, rather than the abusive broken dysfunctional family I had, or simply by finding someone who loves me as I love them, and starting my own family with them, or, a more possible solution is to simply find a group of friends which I truly feel comfortable and happy around. I have a Snow White owl as a familiar, but I did have multiple dogs as pets growing up, though they all managed to disappear shortly after we got them (I now realize they were probably magical creatures as well), though I currently have two dogs back at home, who seem to be willing to stay. In short, I have quite the peculiar backstory, and I certainly hope that my stay at hogwarts will remain as magical and exciting as it is now.
