Cody Hightower

Backstory

Cody Hightower is an American transfer student, who has his eyes set on becoming a cursebreaker for Gringotts. Despite wonderful proficiency in some subjects and dismal failures in others, life is good. This does not deter him.

From a pureblood family originally, Cody is an orphan. Apparating from New York each September, he attends Hogwarts as per the stipulations on him left in the will of his parents.

Cody wants to use magic to help people around him. Why? Because he's been in the same place. No help. No solutions. No answers. So, any knowledge he gains? He's determined to make that same knowledge and help available to others, so they don't have to feel like he did.


Sometimes, you may see a young man with hazel eyes and short brown hair, and glasses wandering about the castle, keeping to himself. Robes askew, bag stuffed hastily, Self-Writing Quill and talking parchment floating beside. This is Cody. The quill is for times when he cannot speak, or finds the circumstances or environment much too stressful or overwhelming to be able to talk.

Cody's personality can be all the warmth of the Hufflepuff common room hearth most times. He is focused, and passionate. He is autistic, and loves to think about how to solve problems from a magical standpoint. Of course, this often times leads to horribly complex magical solutions when a perfectly good muggle one would have done, but really, what's a few singed hairs between friends?
