Backstory

As a child, I could always be found either with my nose in a book or drawing the flora that surrounded our small estate. When I got my letter to attend Hogwarts, it was only natural that when I got there I quickly realized I had a knack for herbology. Surprisingly though, I also developed an affinity for brewing difficult potions. I suppose having a deep understanding of the ingredients used to make them connects the two subjects to some extent. Growing up somewhat isolated, I was always more comfortable outdoors around plants or with books than with people. I suppose most other students found my constant experimentation adding different combinations of ingredients together to observe their properties a bit disturbing as well... During my fourth year at Hogwarts, my best friend took ill with a mysterious wasting disease that eventually claimed her life. It was at this time, I decided to pursue a career as a healer to try to find cures to unknown diseases. I worked hard throughout the rest of my time at Hogwarts and took an apprenticeship at St. Mungo's working on magical research for difficult diseases.
